Specifications of the Interactive LED Panels

Introduction

The Interactive LED Panels are Open Source modules which illuminate when an object or hand passes over the self calibrating infra-red sensors. The LEDs then fade according to a pre-set pattern which can be programmed using the Arduino IDE.

  • Power requirements per board:  5V, 120mA / Consumes almost nothing when LEDs are all off.
  • Maximum Number of interconnected boards per power supply: 8 Boards
  • Maximum Number of interconnected boards:  1000+ Boards
  • Maximum Current per 8 boards:  3 Amps
  • Maximum Infra-red Sensor Distance: 20-25 cm  
  • Software IDE: Arduino
  • LED Type: SMD and Through Hole 
  • Can work through Translucent/frosted Glass (Auto Calibrating)
Other Info

Panels are in the beta stage. With enough funding, boards will be sold as a complete product as well be implemented into furniture to make them interactive.
